He celebrated both his 80th birthday and the tragic day hasduring which his father, Louis de Funès, disappeared, forty-one years ago, this January 27. Patrick de Funès delivered an unvarnished interview to Figaroon occasion commemorating two important moments in his life. He revealed to our colleagues confusing details concerning the state of finances of the famous French actor, discovered shortly after his death.
“He had annuities. He paid people crazy amounts of money every month”, first declared the eldest son of the deceased comedian. He then added: “There were some we knew, others we didn’t. Like the widow of a director… who never had it filmed”. However, he did not specify to our colleagues how he and his relatives had managed this situation, after the death of Louis de Funès.

A father who is not very amusing in everyday life
During the interview given to FigaroPatrick de Funès returned to the character his father had on a daily basis. He declared to our colleagues: “These kinds of people are not fun to live with every day. They are anxious people. He was chasing me on the phone”quickly adding: “He was a bit of a candy breaker.
