The 84-year-old Oscar winner Louis Gossett Jr. ("An Officer and a Gentleman") is said to have contracted the coronavirus. The US celebrity portal "TMZ" reports, citing insiders from the actor's environment.

A corresponding test was positive. At one point, Gossett Jr. is said to have been so bad that he could hardly stand. The 84-year-old was admitted to a hospital in Georgia, but is said to have left it after a few days of his own free will. The local situation frightened him.
