In April 2021, Louis de Luxembourg and Scarlett-Lauren Sirgue had the joy of celebrating their engagement, an important step in their love story which was to give rise to a marriage in 2022. Prince Louis of Luxembourg (35) was to remarry French lawyer Scarlett-Lauren Sirgue (30) – he had previously been married for the first time to Tessy Antony, the divorce having been formalized in April 2019 – but the tale fairy stops here. “We are not going to get married. However, there was no shadow, no problem on our couple but fundamental differences of opinion that led us to this decision“, thus related the prince to Point of viewin the presence of her now ex-fiancé, from a chic Parisian establishment.
Louis of Luxembourg, third son of the Grand Duke Henri, assures in passing that Scarlett’s entry into the Grand Ducal Court had been carefully studied and that the concern therefore does not come from this aspect. “We had agreed on this subject and we were ready to accept the concessions that this status might imply.“, he adds.
The rupture is therefore more to be placed on personal ground, Louis de Luxembourg and Scarlett-Lauren Sirgue not being visibly no longer on the same wavelength today… The young woman, originally from Bordeaux, has on her side affirmed that after intense reflections, the evidence was obvious: “We have come to recognize that as a family, as parents, we have visions that diverge too much. Our ambitions in life are different“, she explained. Did she want to be able to continue her career in the judiciary while ensuring her royal task, which generally also involves giving an heir to the crown?
Despite the separation, they swear they want to remain good friends. “Scarlett remains my best friend (…) And she and I cherish the deep friendship, the affection that continues to bind us and that we are not about to let go“, adds the prince.
