The new season of “Love Island” starts on March 21st. The dating show has helped some candidates to TV careers.

The seventh season of the dome show “Love Island” is in the starting blocks. RTLzwei shows the start of the new season on March 21 from 8:15 p.m. The other episodes will then run from March 22nd, Monday to Friday and Sundays from 10:15 p.m. The dating show has already given some candidates a TV or social media career.

Stephi and Julian

In the very first season they formed the dream couple: Stephi Schmitz (27) and Julian Diebold got to know and love each other on the dating show, and they have even been engaged since 2018. After their “Love Island” participation, the two proved their love in other reality formats. In 2018 they moved to the “Summer House of the Stars” and at the end of 2020 they took the relationship test at “Temptation Island VIP”. The extreme situations on TV couldn’t harm them.

Elena and Mike

Mike Heiter (29) and Elena Miras (29) also took part in 2017, but initially left the villa with another partner. They went public with their relationship in the fall of the same year and had daughter Aylen in August 2018. In September 2019, they won the fourth season of “The Summer House of the Stars” together. The separation followed in autumn 2020. After that, Heiter celebrated a love comeback with childhood friend Laura Morante. In 2021, Heiter was a participant in the RTL “Jungle Show” and in the “Battle of the Reality Stars” (RTLzwei).

In 2020 Elena Miras had already moved into the “real” jungle camp and took sixth place. In 2020 she took part in “Das Große Sat.1 Promiboxen”, was on the reality show “Reality Shore” in early 2022 and will also be in the “Kampf der Realitystars” in 2022. Miras, who has 566,000 Instagram followers, is now happily forgiven again.

Chethrin Schulze

Chethrin Schulze (29) left the “Love Island” villa with Mike Heiter. A short time later, the couple announced their separation. In 2018 she became a candidate for “Celebrity Big Brother” and left the TV container in second place. In the summer of 2021, she took part in the dome show “My Date, My Best Friend & I”. In 2022 she can be seen in the “Battle of the Reality Stars”.

Tobias Wegener

Tobias Wegener (28) became the “Love Island” audience favorite in the second season of 2018. He left the villa with candidate Natascha as the second-placed couple, but it didn’t work out with great love. In 2019, Wegener moved to the “Celebrity Big Brother” house and took third place. In 2020 he took part in “Celebrities under Palm Trees” (Sat.1) and took fourth place.

Samira and Yasin

Samira (24) and Yasin Cilingir (31) are among the most famous “Love Island” couples. They met in 2019’s third season and placed second behind Sidney Wolf and Vivien Michalla. After her participation, Yasin moved to Samira in Hamburg. In January 2020, they announced their engagement. The pregnancy announcement followed in July of the same year. They have been parents since December 2020: their son Malik-Kerim was born during a difficult birth. The couple has their second “Love Island” baby. The wedding in a small circle followed in February 2021. In October 2021 they moved to the “Summer House of the Stars” and took fourth place.

Melissa Damilia

Melissa Damilia (26) was part of the dome show in 2019. But it wasn’t supposed to work out with love and so she went looking for love as “Bachelorette” 2020. She celebrated her happy ending with winner Leander Sacher (23), but this love also failed. She returned to “Love Island” in a different role in 2021. Damilia, who has 491,000 Instagram followers, moderated the after talk together with Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht (30). From Tuesday, March 22nd, she can be seen on the program “Prominent und Pflegekraft” (RTLzwei), in which stars slip into the role of temporary nursing staff.
