The popular dating show “Love Island” returns to TV screens after a break of more than a year. As the broadcaster RTLzwei announced, this time the reality show will be more interactive than ever. It is now clear when the viewers can join the “Love Island” participants in their search for great love.

As the broadcaster announced in a press release, the dating format starts on September 11, 2023 at 8:15 p.m. – for the first time with a live broadcast. In addition, “Love Island” presenter Sylvie Meis (45) will receive support from a prominent co-moderator this time. It is not yet known who that will be.

“Love Island” becomes interactive

With the help of the “Love Island” app offered for the show, viewers can influence the show on Monday’s live show and make momentous decisions for the candidates. The scene for the eighth season is a new villa in Greece. After the live show, “Love Island” can be seen daily from 10:15 p.m. on RTLzwei and as a streaming offer on RTL Plus.

“The premier class of dating is back,” said Sylvie Meis two days ago on her Instagram profile. Speaker and viewer favorite Simon Beeck (43) will also be part of the eighth edition of the show and accompany the search for love in the usual humorous manner.
