Low-carbon hydrogen: Air Liquide will invest up to $850 million in Texas


(AOF) – Air Liquide announces that it plans to invest up to 850 million US dollars to build, “own and operate four large modular” gas separation units as part of a “committing long-term” agreement ” with ExxonMobil. The group specifies that it is a question of contributing to the low-carbon hydrogen project of the American hydrocarbon giant planned in Baytown, Texas. This project would allow Air Liquide to increase its oxygen production capacity by 50% in this State, specifies the French group.

Subject to the final investment decision, this major project would constitute the largest industrial investment in the history of the Air Liquide group.
