This decision was welcomed by a majority of executives, including Jean-François Copé, the mayor of Meaux, severe about Aurélien Pradié, whom he accuses of wanting to “double the PS from the left”. In an interview at Sunday newspaperhe adds that the right has a duty to vote for this reform out of consistency, but also because he believes that the pool of Republican voters is more with Emmanuel Macron than with the National Rally.
For his part, Aurélien Pradié has still not reacted publicly. The Lot deputy met on Saturday by telephone with his relatives, a large part of whom are now members of the party’s organization chart. His response, expected in the next few hours, could once again fuel divisions on the right.
