Lucky people on Diablo IV hilariously killed the infamous Butcher

Nobody wants to cross the Butcher in Diablo IV. But, some bugs give rise to comical clashes.

11:12 p.m., a Thursday evening like the others. It is a little late to launch a film, or even an episode of a series. You then set your sights on Diablo IV, since you have 30 minutes to kill, which is enough time to complete a dungeon. The first steps go smoothly. The mobs do not resist any of your hits. Neither do elite monsters, despite their futile attempts to make your life miserable. In short, this little half hour will be a satisfying formality.

This was without counting the impromptu visit of the Butcher, a random boss who traumatizes the players of Diablo IV. An emblematic figure in the saga, this enemy appears randomly and is particularly powerful. Thanks to the first statistics provided by Blizzard Entertainment after the launch, we learned that he was responsible for 2% of game overs. That’s colossal for a single threat. But imagine that people manage to escape it thanks to luck and/or bugs.

Diablo IV’s Butcher is not spared from bugs

In an article published on June 19, 2023, Icy Veins compiled situations that turned encounters with the Butcher into not-so-nightmarish moments. Pray for this to happen to you.

The Butcher, too heavy to climb?

This isn’t actually a bug, but a weakness in the Butcher that you could exploit if conditions allow. The guy is apparently unable to climb a ladder … If you do, you will just have to shoot him from the heights, until death ensues. Note however that Blizzard Entertainment may release a patch that will allow the Butcher to climb a ladder (?).

The Butcher does not like heights, episode 2

This time it’s a bug. In the clip below, the Butcher can be seen stuck on a slightly raised spot. Obviously, he resigned himself very quickly.

This man killed the Butcher 17 times with the same method

I crossed the Butcher 17 times, and I killed him 17 times, here is my method “, welcomes Fair-Hot-Difficulty. The method in question? Direct the Butcher to a chest and wait for it to crash. 100% success.

The Pacifist Butcher exists!

There is a pacifist version of the Butcher. His behavior is strange: he wanders in the environments without fighting back and you have to run after him to kill him. Long, but easy.
