Ludwig lets his viewers choose his cat’s name and regrets – Dexerto.com

YouTube streamer Ludwig made a big mistake by allowing viewers to submit chat names. Fate has befallen Ludwig when even his newly adopted cat seems to have chosen the worst possible name.

Choosing a name for a pet can be a real headache. Finding a suitable name, both fun and original, is not an easy task and can take days or even weeks of reflection.

To counter the problem, the famous American streamer Ludwig Ahgren then made a risky decision to say the least: let his viewers suggest names. And if there’s one rule Ludwig learned during this stream, it’s that leaving an important decision in the hands of thousands of strangers on the internet can only end in disaster.

When the fate goes after Ludwig and the name of his cat

To name the adorable white furry ball that has just entered his life, our streamer started by simply asking his audience to suggest names. Quickly noticing that countless inappropriate surnames were flooding the YouTube text chat, Ludwig made a first selection, selecting a series of suitable names for a raffle with great fanfare.

Thus, more than 40 marbles with names as refined as “Raid Shadow Legends”, “Mayonaise” and “Potato” set off in a frenzied race that could forever seal the destiny of the kitten until then devoid of a name.

Unfortunately, both marbles and community polls have brought up a name that Ludwig certainly didn’t want to see: “Cracker.”

If a cracker can either be a cracker or a firecracker, it is above all a very controversial term, often used to refer pejoratively to a white-skinned person. After several streamers including Hasan, Bruce Ray or even Froste were banned for using this word, it is easy to understand the embarrassment in which viewers like the marbles put Ludwig.

Hoping to finally come across another name in – too – cheating, Ludwig then wrote on Paint the 3 most popular names with his community:

  • “Marbles”, the translation of marble
  • “Coot”, the translation of coot, which is none other than a water hen
  • “Cracker”

It was then up to the cat to decide its fate by paying attention to one of the three surnames offered to it. The rest, you can already guess: the little ball of fur rushed on the screen to tap the word Cracker with its pads, leaving its master in disarray.

This cat is a problem. For me and for society.

Powerless in the face of this relentless fate, Ludwig then resigned himself to calling his companion, the QT streamer Cinderella. After having suffered his adamant refusal to call the kitten Cracker, Ludwig ventured to ask if the reason was the “problematic” nature of the surname, to which QT replied: “No, that’s because it’s a fucking stupid name.”

Unable to resign himself to calling the kitten Cracker, Ludwig finally ended his stream, letting his viewers watch the young feline napping on full screen before ending: “Say goodbye to Marbles, or Coots, or Cracker.”
