Luis Fonsi needs to clear the top of YouTube's most viewed videos. "Despacito" was overtaken by the nursery rhyme "Baby Shark".

The US-American Latin pop singer Luis Fonsi (42) achieved a real world hit with "Despacito" in 2017. The joint song with rapper Daddy Yankee (43) also got plenty of clicks on YouTube. The video for the single was for a long time the video with the most views on the online platform with around 7.04 billion clicks. But now there is a new record holder: Luis Fonsi has to cede the title to a children's song.

"Baby Shark" has overtaken "Despacito". The animated video recorded an impressive 7.05 billion views. "Baby Shark" is sung by Hope Segoine, who was ten at the time, and the song was produced by the South Korean company Pinkfong, an educational entertainment company.
