Lulu Lewe: Is her husband jealous of dance partner Massimo?

The blonde hair, the bright eyes and the radiant smile – when Lulu Lewe, 32, dances across the TV floor on “Let’s Dance”, you inevitably think of her big sister Sarah Connor, 43 – their similarity is too great. But that’s exactly what the singer is struggling with. She wants to write her own story from now on. She has managed to do this quite well in the first two weeks of the RTL dance show: She came second in the jury rankings twice. Lulu reveals in GALA how she and her husband Basti deal with the issue of jealousy and whether she wants to have a family of her own -Interview.

Lulu Lewe was afraid of dance partner Massimo

GALA: You are already considered a hot contender for victory. How are you doing with that?
Lulu Lewe: Of course it’s nice to get so many points, but I don’t see myself as the favorite. We only had two days to train before the first show. Until then, I didn’t know that I could even dance Latin American. (laughs)

How would you like the chemistry between you and your dance partner Massimo Sinato describe?
When it was drawn to me, I was very surprised. Apparently I could see that too. At first it was a bit strange between Massimo and me. Probably also because I confessed to him straight away that I was afraid of him and his experience as a professional dancer. That’s probably why he’s being extra nice and not so strict with me now. (laughs)

They get very close while dancing. How does your husband deal with this?
Basti and I had previously watched some episodes of the last “Let’s Dance” seasons. And I’ll be honest, we were sometimes shocked at how close we get. But since jealousy doesn’t play a role in our marriage, we deal with it very easily. Massimo and Basti met over a drink in the hotel bar and immediately hit it off. A real bromance is developing. (laughs)

What do you hope to achieve from your participation?
I want people to get to know me better as a person and stop seeing me as just Sarah Connor’s sister. Even though we look very similar and work in the same business, I go my own way.

You are a multiple aunt. Do you dream of having your own family?
We want one or two children – just not yet. At the moment I would like to devote more time to my music and hone my career. Until then, I enjoy the title of aunt.
