(AOF) – Lumibird announces the opening of its new Indian subsidiary in Mumbai: Lumibird Medical India. This company aims to boost sales of Quantel Medical and Ellex products in India with a common range of ultrasound scanners and ophthalmic lasers as well as equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of dry eye disease.

“We have been present for 25 years on the Indian market where we are the leader in the ultrasound range”, explained Jean-Marc Gendre, Managing Director of Lumibird Medical.

“In view of the current growth of the Indian market in ophthalmology, we have chosen to set up our own subsidiary in order to locally offer our diagnostic and treatment products for retinal pathologies, glaucoma, AMD, cataracts and dry eye” , he added.
