Unprecedented situation on the set of season 3 of Lupin. The gentleman burglar played by Omar Sy has been robbed. Filming took place on Friday afternoon in Nanterre in the Parc district. According to our colleagues from France infoa robbery with fireworks mortar fire surprised the team of the series, in the presence of Omar Sy.

About twenty hooded people burst onto the set and attacked the team by firing fireworks mortars in order to steal equipment. No injuries are to be deplored, but the loot would amount to around 300,000 euros in equipment. The Hauts-de-Seine departmental judicial police service is in charge of the investigation.

Still according to our colleagues, AFP contacted Netflix who confirmed “the incident“and has”ensured that team safety is a priority“. The platform’s press service added “hope to be able to resume filming soon“.

The very evening of the robbery, Omar Sy was present at the 47th Cesar ceremony to present the César for best actress. Ten years after his coronation for his interpretation in Intouchables, the actor did not let anything appear a few hours after the robbery and even made the Olympia dance on the tube of Stromae “So we dance”.

This incident echoes that of the theft that occurred on the set of the fifth season of The Crown, this Thursday, for an estimated value of 200,000 euros.
