LVMH: the Arnault family makes a donation to the Restos du Coeur

(CercleFinance.com) – The Arnault family, controlling shareholder of the LVMH group, pledged on Monday to pay aid of 10 million euros to the Restos du Coeur, which are currently experiencing significant financial difficulties.

In a press release, Bernard Arnault and his family stress that this emergency contribution follows the ‘cry of alarm’ launched yesterday by the president of the association.

Patrice Douret, the volunteer president of the Restos du Coeur, alerted yesterday on TF1 to the “serious” situation that the Restos are going through and called on the political and economic forces of the country to mobilize.

The Arnault family says they have responded to the appeal launched by the association, which is still looking for additional funds to finalize its annual budget.

‘Through this solidarity donation, the Arnault family wishes to actively contribute to helping a magnificent association of general interest which has been working for the most fragile, without stopping for nearly 40 years’, can we read in a press release.

Antoine Arnault has planned to go tomorrow to the premises of the Restos du Coeur in the presence of Aurore Bergé, the Minister of Solidarity and Families.
