Lyon: Juninho’s unlikely reaction to Marcelo’s flatulence

The revelations about the episode of flatulence Marcelo have not finished making noise. While the Brazilian defender denied this information, Juninho reacted with an improbable tweet posted on his account.

“See, I told you, the defender has to fart hard, long and smelly. Yours was only strong, so it’s weak,” wrote the former Brazilian midfielder, accompanying his message with several emoticons.

Juninho was responding to a message posted moments earlier by Marcelo, who denied the accusations against him. “Thanks to L’Equipe, after a long time I have to go back to Twitter to deny all the allegations. Journalism these days is a joke!”, had posted, for his part, the defender who now plays in Bordeaux.

Last August, in the wake of a severe defeat at Angers (3-0), Marcelo was definitively removed from the Lyon group by his coach Peter Bosz and the former Lyon sports director. In a press release, OL had mentioned “inappropriate behavior by Marcelo in the locker room”.

According to information from the team, the Brazilian defender had flatulence during a speech by captain Leo Dubois and started laughing with some of his teammates after the debacle at the Raymond-Kopa stadium. This behavior had deeply annoyed Juninho, who decided to dismiss the player.

Initially sent to reserve, he reached an agreement at the end of January with the Lyon club to end his adventure in the Rhône and be released from his contract. A few days later, he signed up with the Girondins before being overtaken by this story of flatulence which could still know other twists.
