Lyon: the young Léo who had disappeared from his home found in an abandoned truck

“He is safe and sound and at home”. The 19-year-old who had disappeared from the family home of Saint-Genis-les-Ollières, west of Lyon, since February 13 has returned home. Léo Bonnet, that’s his name, was finally found by the gendarmes of the Francheville brigade in the neighboring town of Pollionnay.

According to our information, the young man ran away and took refuge on the first evening in an abandoned truck on a vacant lot in the Lyon countryside. He was seen walking along a road by two witnesses who reported his presence to the gendarmerie. A neighborhood survey confirmed these testimonies.

Leo was found in the vehicle where he survived on a blanket and the water from the river below. Left with three euros in his pocket, he was weakened when he was found by the gendarmes. The soldiers handed him over to his relieved mother, who was to take him to the doctor.
