Apple gives us news of its new MacBook Pro 13. Equipped with the M2 chip, the device will be available for pre-order from June 17.
Renewed at WWDC, alongside the new MacBook Air, the 13-inch MacBook Pro will indeed be the first Apple product to take advantage of the all-new M2 chip. Through a press release, the firm tells us that this new model will be available for pre-order from June 17, at 2 p.m. in France. Deliveries should start on June 24.
A Mac that improves without changing anything or almost
Apart from its new M2 chip (which includes 8 CPU cores and 10 GPU cores) and a maximum autonomy estimated by Apple at 20 hours in video mode, this new MacBook Pro 13 uses the same specifications as the old one. model, equipped for its part with the M1 chip.
We therefore find the same design, an unchanged chassis, the same 13.3-inch Retina screen (2,560 by 1,600 pixels for 500 nits of maximum luminance), the same keyboard and the same 720p webcam. The TouchBar is also still relevant, as are two Thunderbolt 4 ports and the headphone jack.
Announced from 1,599 euros, this new MacBook Pro 13 M2 can finally rely on 8 to 24 GB of unified memory and a maximum of 2 TB of SSD. Let it be said, the revolution… it will not be on this model.
