Burglars opened construction site bars to get to the central warehouse of a company in Spittal. There, the strangers broke open ten construction containers.
The burglars stole industrial machines from the containers. The number of stolen tools and the extent of the damage have not yet been quantified. The Spittal police inspectorate is investigating. In the past few weeks, there has been an increase in burglaries on construction sites and in construction containers in Carinthia. Tools and construction equipment seem to be popular on the black market these days. The police recommend not leaving high-quality machines in the containers, at least over the weekend. Additional locks should be fitted.
