Until the macOS 12.3 update, it was possible to digitize old videos on cassette tapes via the camera and iMovie. But an error in the update puts an end to that!
As per the Apple Support section, many of you no longer see your camera as a device in iMovie when connected to your Mac with a mini DV cable connection. More than 50 users are currently having the same problem, and the trend is rising.
