Macron “will have small debates” on the ground, announces Lescure


The Minister Delegate for Industry affirms that the President wants to “project us into the future” and defends the results of his Prime Minister.

Ie Minister Delegate for Industry, Roland Lescure, in defense of the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister. To get out of the challenge to the pension reform which remains strong a week after the promulgation of the law, the Head of State “will have small debates”, he assures, like his recent trips to the Bas-Rhin or in the Hérault, where he attempted a few walkabouts despite boos.

“He is on the ground, he exchanges with people”, underlined the minister, noting that “once the pans go out, there are people […] who are willing to trade with him. “I think he will continue to do so both to convince but […] above all to project ourselves into the future, ”he argued, while several trips by ministers have been disrupted in recent days by demonstrations.

Asked about the future of Elisabeth Borne at Matignon, the Minister Delegate for Industry praised the “great job” and the “exceptional work” of the head of government. “She is one of the ministers who has had the strongest performance in the first five-year term: she reformed the SNCF, she had the energy-climate law passed, she obviously made a “1 young person, 1 solution” which means that today oday we have hundreds of thousands of young people who have a job, we must not forget that. She is an exceptional minister,” he insisted.
