Mad Max: a sequel has been in development, but it is probably canceled

In 2015, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Avalanche Studios (JustCause) went out Mad Max, an open-world action-adventure game set in a sandy post-apocalyptic universe, obviously inspired by the films of George Miller. A rather nice title that seduced the players. Well, a sequel was once considered.

This is what Wendy W. Fok reveals on social networks. The creative technologist indeed shared a photo of her in the middle of a photogrammetry session to recreate his face in a game, Mad Max 2. Yes, the title is quoted, but Wendy Fok makes it clear that it is an old photo from before the pandemic. We Designin charge of the photo shoot, had indeed shared a similar image in 2017, talking about a new game for Avalanche Studioswithout citing him at the time.

Wendy Fok mentions Mad Max 2 without pressure, and Warner Bros. obviously did nothing to remove this message, a possible proof that the game would have since been canceled and that this content would have been abandoned, even recycled for RAGE 2which offers an atmosphere quite similar to the universe madmax. Or else Wendy Fok was completely in the wrong game (which, given the age of the photo, is entirely possible) and came to lend her face directly to RAGE 2.

At any rate, Mad Max 2 no longer appears to be an ongoing project at Avalanche Studioswhich develops as a reminder contrabanda open world cooperative exclusive to Xbox. You can find RAGE 2 at €6.50 on Amazon.
