Fifteen years after the disappearance of little Maddie McCann, which occurred on May 3, 2007 in Praia Da Luz, Portugal, overwhelming evidence was discovered in the van of the main suspect, Christian Brueckner.

Could the Maddie McCann affair finally come to an end? According to a Portuguese police source, an object belonging to the British girl, missing since May 3, 2007, was discovered in the van of the main suspect, German Christian Brueckner. “New elements have been discovered, new evidence. Not forensic evidence, but evidence”, German prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters told Portuguese television. However, little Maddie’s DNA would not have been found. The motorhome in question is a white and yellow vehicle that Brueckner, now 45, was living in at the time of little Maddie’s disappearance. He then lived a few kilometers from the place of the girl’s abduction.

Asked by journalist Sandra Felgueiras, the German prosecutor could not give specific details on the ongoing investigations. “Is it true that you found an item belonging to Maddie in Christian B’s trailer?. ?” asked the journalist to the magistrate. “I cannot comment on the details of the investigations, the suspect has not yet been informed”, he replied. “But you can’t deny that, can you?”she insisted. “I don’t want to do it”did he declare. According to German law, it is forbidden to reveal the progress of an investigation to the press until the main suspect has been informed.which explains why the prosecutor cannot, for the moment, make specific statements to the press.

The noose is tightening around Christian Brueckner

Jailed in Germany for the rape of a 72-year-old American in Praia Da Luz in 2005, child criminal Christian Brueckner was recently named as arguido by the Portuguese police. In Spanish criminal parlance, this term designates the indictment of a suspect. He could be charged by the summer of 2022. As a reminder, little Madeleine McCann, nicknamed Maddie by the British press, was kidnapped on May 3, 2007 while she was sleeping in an apartment in the Ocean Club tourist complex in Praia Da Luz, Portugal. At the time of his disappearance, his parents were having dinner in a tapas restaurant a few hundred meters from their children.
