More than just colleagues: At the premiere of Madelaine Petsch’s new film there was a “Riverdale” reunion with her former co-stars.
Madelaine Petsch (29), Camila Mendes (29) and Lili Reinhart (27) are more than just series colleagues: The three “Riverdale” actresses are apparently so good friends in their private lives that Mendes and Reinhart are now meeting their former colleague at the premiere of supported their new horror film “The Strangers: Chapter 1”.
Madelaine Petsch raves about her co-stars
The trio posed together on the red carpet at the premiere in Los Angeles on Wednesday (May 8). Petsch then raved on Instagram: “I feel so incredibly lucky to have my girls with me in every chapter of my life.” The actress also shared a photo from the red carpet and a snapshot of the three of them hugging each other deeply. Reinhart commented on the post with two red hearts and “My loves”, Mendes added: “Love you guys.”
At the premiere, Petsch wore a black Diesel gown with a plunging neckline, Reinhart posed in a glittering black maxi dress with mesh appliqués and evening gloves, Mendes wore a nude-colored Altuzarra midi dress.
The three actresses have appeared in all seven seasons of the successful mystery series since 2017. The series ended in 2023 after 137 episodes.
That’s what “The Strangers: Chapter 1” is about
In “The Strangers”, which can be seen in US cinemas from May 17th, Madelaine Petsch plays the role of Maya, who wants to start a new life on the west coast of the USA with her partner Ryan (Froy Gutierrez, 26). On the way there, the couple’s car breaks down and are forced to spend the night in a remote Airbnb, where they are terrorized all night long by three masked strangers. The film is the third part of “The Strangers” film series and will be released as a trilogy. Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 are scheduled to follow in the course of 2024.
