This is the story of Binley Mega Chippy. The eatery, which can be found in Coventry, offered fried treats and cold drinks to weary drivers making their way out of Coventry on the A428. And then earlier this year…… the internet took over Binley Mega Chippy and turned it into a kind of “Palace of Wonders”. On TikTok alone, one of the first videos of the chip shop was viewed 82,000 times. And there was no holding back. This summer, the restaurant is chock full of visitors and fans. On May 25th, binleymegachippyfan53 released a 10 second clip featuring a static image of Binley Mega Chippy accompanied by a happy chorus. It goes like this: “Binley Me-ga Chiiiipyyy, Binley Me-ga Chiiiipyyy, Binley Me-ga Chiiiipyyyyyyyyyyy… Binley Mega Chippy” – and it’s to the tune of For He’sa Jolly Good Fellow.
