Madonna: "Queen of Pop" cancels London concert for injuries

Madonna (61) cannot appear in London on Monday (January 27) as part of her "Madame X" tour. The "Queen of Pop" has canceled the first of its 15 concerts at the London Palladium, according to its website and social media. Her doctors advised her to "rest a few days". The reason for the cancellation are injuries that have plagued them "since the start of the tour". She had to "always listen to my body and put my health first".

Madonna doesn't want to disappoint her fans. She will "continue until I can no longer". The fans should know "that it hurts me more than you can imagine to cancel concerts". The show on January 29th will take place again as planned. It is not the first show on the tour that Madonna had to cancel. On January 22, she had already canceled a concert in Lisbon. She also had to miss a few appearances in the USA.

The "Queen of Pop" did not disclose the cause of her injuries. But it is probably a knee problem. The 61-year-old recently posted a video on Instagram showing her knee pads. "This is how an injured Madame X warms up for a show … very carefully," she wrote below. Ice baths obviously help her with her health problems, as she demonstrated in another Instagram clip. These are "the best treatment for injuries".
