Madonna has thanked her children for their support during her hospital stay. That was the “best medicine”.
A month after her stay in the hospital Madonna (64) via Instagram thanked their children. The singer wrote about three photos in which she can be seen with her daughter Lourdes (26) and her son David Banda (17): “Love from family and friends is the best medicine.” A month ago she left the hospital and can reflect.
When she was unwell, she discovered a side of her children that she had never seen before. As a mother, you can really lose yourself in the needs of your children and the seemingly endless giving. “When push came to shove, my kids were really there for me.” That made the difference for her.
Madonna has six children in total. Her eldest daughter Lourdes comes from a relationship with fitness trainer Carlos Leon (57), son Rocco (22) from her marriage to director Guy Ritchie (54). She also has adopted children David, Mercy (17) and twins Stella and Estere (10).
Madonna thanks friends and her guardian angels
“Just like the love and support from my friends,” the thanks go on Instagram. She realized how lucky she was to be alive, writes Madonna. “Thank you to all my angels who protected me and let me stay to continue my work.”
At the end of June, the singer was found unconscious for a few days and taken to a New York hospital. There she was artificially ventilated in the intensive care unit. Her manager Guy Oseary (50) shared via Instagram with the fact that Madonna had “developed a serious bacterial infection” that “resulted in a stay of several days in the intensive care unit”.
