Madonna’s daughter Mercy received congratulations from thousands of fans when her mother performed. She was celebrating her 18th birthday.
Very few people have such a big birthday party: On Monday, Madonna (65) gave her daughter Mercy a special treat on her 18th birthday during her appearance at Madison Square Garden in New York. In the middle of the show, the concert-goers joined the singer in singing “Happy Birthday” to the obviously surprised birthday child. This is reported by “People” magazine. In between there was also a hug from her famous mother.
According to the report, Madonna had previously asked her daughter to stand up and show herself to the audience. “Look at this queen!” the proud mother is said to have shouted to her fans. Mercy was also presented with a lit candle, which the 18-year-old blew out to the cheers of the fans. The birthday girl then sat down at the piano and performed a song with her mother.

Also on Instagram Madonna had already celebrated the birthday of her daughter, who was born in Malawi and adopted by the singer in 2009, with touching words. There, the 65-year-old shared pictures of Mercy and explained, among other things, that she was the “quiet”, “gentle”, “shy” and “stoic” sister who “never” wanted to draw attention to herself. “Always humble and friendly, always the first to say thank you. Clears the table after dinner!” and be responsible and grateful.
“I am truly amazed at the woman you have become. Poised and radiant. Competent and soulful. A true artist,” wrote the singer, who proudly added of her daughter’s musical abilities that magic happens “when you play the piano”.
Madonna has six children: Lourdes (27), Rocco (23), David (18), Mercy James and twins Estere and Stelle (11).
