Madonna still has to pause before she can continue: According to insiders, she is currently following the doctors’ instructions and is resting.
Madonna (64) is currently focusing on her recovery after a serious bacterial infection. After spending several days in intensive care, Madonna is now back at her home in New York City. Insiders told the US magazine “People” that the Queen of Pop is feeling better, following the doctors’ instructions and resting.
On Wednesday, Guy Oseary (50), the musician’s manager, communicated via Instagramthat Madonna “has developed a serious bacterial infection, which has led to a stay in intensive care for several days. Her health is improving, but she is still receiving medical treatment. A full recovery is expected”.
“The Celebration Tour” has to be postponed
Oseary also confirmed that the start of Madonna’s “The Celebration Tour” had to be postponed due to her health condition. Fans will be informed of further details, including the new tour start date, as soon as more is known.
The tour was originally scheduled to begin July 15 in Vancouver, Canada. Shows in Europe are currently listed on Madonna’s homepage from mid-October. In Cologne and Berlin, among other places, she is supposed to appear in November.
