The Mafia franchise, which is made up of three games and several remastered versions, celebrates its twentieth anniversary at the end of August, although the first episode was released in Europe in early September. Appointed Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven, the game placed us in the fictional city of Lost Heaven (inspired by Chicago), in the 1930s and saw the protagonist trying to prove himself in the local mafia. Two more episodes followed, with Mafia II and Mafia III.
To celebrate this anniversary, the developers announced several things, including the free title for a few days.

Thereby, from 1er As of September 5, all Steam users can head to the Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven page and grab the original game for free. The offer allows you to keep it for life in your library and not to enjoy it only during these five short days. A golden opportunity if you have never discovered this GTA-like, although it has aged since.

If you prefer to discover this experience in a more refreshing version, a trilogy was released in 2020, bringing together the three games at a lower price to discover the franchise, or a Definitive Edition, which is a remake of this first episode.
Finally, let’s remember that the developers, the Hangar 13 studio, recently announced that a new Mafia has been in development, but we shouldn’t expect to find out anytime soon. We will know more in the coming years.
