  • An earthquake struck near Lake Wägital in the canton of Schwyz on the night of Tuesday.
  • The earthquake was probably felt throughout Switzerland.

The earth shook at 2:34 a.m. on Tuesday night. The epicenter of the quake is about eleven kilometers southwest of Einsiedeln. According to current information, the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.4, according to the Swiss Seismological Service at ETH Zurich when asked.
