Magnitude 5.4 earthquake in Crte-Institut godynamique d’Athnes


December 26 (Reuters) – A magnitude 5.4 earthquake struck Crete, the Greek south-eastern Mediterranean, on Sunday, reports the godynamic institute at the Athens Observatory.

No injuries or material damage were reported at this stage, the institute said.

The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (CSEM) had previously reported a magnitude of 6, a depth of ten kilometers. On its website, the godynamic institute indicates a depth of 6.4 kilometers.
