Maintenance work at Telekom, Vodafone, O2 and Co.: You have to expect outages here

The networks of Telekom, Vodafone, O2 and Co. are regularly maintained. This can lead to telephone and internet failures. There is currently work going on here.

Is your telephone, television or internet connection on strike? Then don’t panic. Sometimes this is just a temporary problem because your provider is currently carrying out maintenance work on the line. Information about this is not always transparent. We will therefore keep you up to date here about planned maintenance work at the major Internet providers in Germany.

1&1

Is there a problem with your 1&1 connection? Then this is currently not due to maintenance work. Because the provider from Montabaur has not announced any. But you can check with us whether there is currently a problem with 1&1.

German telephone

We currently have no information about maintenance work at the provider “Deutsche Telefon”. If you have problems with your connection, you can check with us to see whether the provider is currently struggling with a disruption. To do this, call up our fault status for “Deutsche Telefon”.

Deutsche Telekom

There is currently no maintenance work at Telekom. However, there may still be disruptions in the regions in Germany affected by the floods in December 2023, as parts of Telekom’s network infrastructure were sometimes damaged, the provider said.

German fiberglass

Maintenance work is planned nationwide at Deutsche Glasfaser on January 25th from midnight to 6 a.m. This may result in a TV, internet and telephone failure for 20 minutes. Maintenance work is also scheduled in the following regions in January and February:

  • Tuesday, January 30th 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.:: Due to planned maintenance, all services in Lower Saxony / Bokensdorf will not be available for 180 minutes during the specified period.
  • Tuesday, January 30, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.:: Due to planned maintenance, all services in Lower Saxony / Hattorf will not be available for 180 minutes during the specified period.
  • Wednesday, January 31st 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Due to planned maintenance, all services in Lower Saxony / Vordorf will be unavailable for 180 minutes during the specified period.
  • Thursday, February 1st 12 a.m. to 6 a.m.: Due to planned maintenance, all services in North Rhine-Westphalia / Kerken – Stenden will be unavailable for up to six hours during the specified period.
  • Thursday, February 1st 12 a.m. to 6 a.m.: Due to planned maintenance, all services in Niederrhein / Neersen and in the specified period will not be available for 360 minutes.
  • Friday, February 2nd 12 a.m. to 6 a.m.: Due to planned maintenance, all services in Niederrhein / Neersen will be unavailable for 360 minutes during the specified period.
  • Tuesday, February 6th, 12 a.m. to 6 a.m.: Due to planned maintenance, all services in North Rhine-Westphalia will be unavailable for 360 minutes during the specified period.
  • Wednesday, February 7, 12 a.m. to 6 a.m.: Due to planned maintenance, all services in North Rhine-Westphalia will be unavailable for 360 minutes during the specified period.
  • Thursday, February 8, 12 a.m. to 6 a.m.: Due to planned maintenance, all services in North Rhine-Westphalia will be unavailable for 360 minutes during the specified period.
  • Wednesday, February 14th 5 a.m. to 6 a.m.: Due to planned maintenance, all services in Ostmünsterland / Bad Driburg, Bad Lippspringe, Borchen, Lichtenau, Paderborn will not be available for 2 minutes during the specified period.
  • Thursday, February 15, 12 a.m. to 6 a.m.: Due to planned maintenance, all services in Westmünsterland / Dülmen-Merfeld, Reken will not be available for 60 minutes during the specified period.
  • Tuesday, February 20, 12 a.m. to 6 a.m.: Due to planned maintenance, all services in Wertherbruch will be unavailable for 180 minutes during the specified period.
  • Wednesday, February 21, 12 a.m. to 6 a.m.: Due to planned maintenance, all services in Hofheim will be unavailable for 180 minutes during the specified period.

If you have problems with the Internet, TV or landline elsewhere, you can check whether disruptions have been reported to Deutsche Glasfaser in this region.

The following maintenance work is currently planned at NetCom BW:

  • Wednesday, January 31, 12 a.m. to 6 a.m.: Temporary outage of internet, telephone and TV in Stuttgart.
  • Thursday, February 1st 12 a.m. to 6 a.m.: Temporary internet, telephone and TV outages in Iggingen, Göggingen, Gschwend as well as Wurmlingen and Munich.
  • Thursday, February 1st 5 a.m. to 8 a.m.: Temporary outage of internet, telephone and TV in Nonnenhorn.
  • Thursday, February 1st 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.: Continuous outage of internet, telephone and TV in Frankfurt
  • Thursday, February 1st 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.: Continuous outage of internet, telephone and TV in Sprockhövel
  • Friday, February 2nd 12 a.m. to 6 a.m.: Temporary outage of internet, telephone and TV in Leipzig.
  • Friday, February 2nd 4 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Temporary outage of internet, telephone and TV in Markgröningen-Pulverdingen.

NetCologne

We are currently not aware of any maintenance work for the NetCologne network. Do you live in an area that is actually not affected by the maintenance work? If you have problems with your connection, check our NetCologne fault detector to see whether other people are also complaining about difficulties.

O2

In addition to DSL connections, O2 also maintains one of the largest mobile networks in Germany. According to the provider’s overview, no maintenance work is currently planned here.

If you still have problems with the landline, internet or mobile phone, this may be due to a disruption in the O2 network. Check the linked fault reporter to see whether other O2 fans are also reporting problems.

Vodafone

There are currently no known maintenance works on the Vodafo network. You can also check with us whether there is currently a Vodafone outage in your region. Please also note that Vodafone will begin switching off analog radio programs via cable in Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-Württemberg in January.

wilhelm.tel and willy.tel

Especially in northern Germany, wilhelm.tel and willy.tel offer cable TV, Internet, telephony and mobile communications. According to the provider, no maintenance work on the network is currently planned.

Cable plus

No maintenance work is currently planned at Kabelplus.

Bridge maintenance work: This way you still have internet and television
