Maja Janeska: the star influencer dies in violent circumstances, the official version of her death is making waves

Disturbing circumstances. This Friday, December 2, the lifeless body of Maja Janeskabetter known as Maya Mia on social networks, was found at his home in Johannesburg in South Africa. The influencer and make-up artist, originally from North Macedonia, lived there with her partner, Kyle Philipps, an entrepreneur, co-director of a local cigarette brand. Aged 39, the pretty brunette, who had left her native country for Tanzania at the age of 19 to work in a hotel before turning to beauty and fashion, was followed by 1.2 million followers on Instagram and more than 1 million fans on YouTube.

It was her spouse who discovered the lifeless body of the young woman in their room, according to News24. When they arrived at the scene of the tragedy, the emergency services could only note the death of the influencer. According to police findings, she killed himself by shooting himself in the head. A weapon was indeed found at his side. But several relatives of Maja Janeska dispute the version of the police.

“She was sometimes afraid for her life”

This is for example the case of Iva Ristic, a very good friend of the young woman. “I spoke to him the day before he died, and she was not suicidal. She wasn’t that kind of person.”, she told the press. A member of Maka Janeska’s family, who wished to remain anonymous, points to the entourage of her companion Kyle Phillips without going into details. “She sometimes feared for her life. Her boyfriend had people working for him, and she was afraid of them too. We are heartbroken, and we really don’t know what to do.”, said this person. For the time being, no investigation for suspicious death has been opened by the police.
