Light textures instead of thick foundation: this is how a natural summer glow can be achieved with just a few products.

The make-up routine changes with the rising temperatures: away from matting and covering products to light textures and shimmering highlights. This is how the natural summer glow succeeds with just a few products.

The basis

First of all, a good moisturizing cream is important, because the high temperatures quickly dry out the skin – without a good foundation, even highlighter and co. You should also take good care of your skin from the inside, which means above all: drink a lot. If you want to avoid the sun but don’t want to look pale: just mix a few drops of self-tanner into the moisturizing cream.

Instead of a thick foundation, it is better to use a light primer or a tinted day cream with sun protection in summer. This ensures a beautiful, natural complexion, provides moisture and protects the skin from UV rays at the same time. A color-matching CC cream is particularly good for those who have redness on their face or who quickly get color when sunbathing. Cover any blemishes or dark circles under the eyes with a light concealer.

Bronzer conjures up a sun-kissed holiday look

A good bronzer should not be missing in summer. Even after a hard day in the office, it conjures up a sun-kissed look like fresh from vacation. There are numerous bronzers on the market that promise a summery glow – these are usually a mixture of brownish, reddish and golden nuances. Simply apply the bronzer with a brush to the areas that get the most sun in natural sunbathing, i.e. the highest parts of the face – cheekbones, cheeks, tip of the nose and along the hairline.

A creamy highlighter on the upper cheekbones, Cupid’s bow, under the eyebrows and the tip of the nose ensures that sunlight is reflected on the face and the skin literally shines. Rely on golden nuances and avoid icy, silver or glittering highlighters.

Mascara and lip balm complete the look

For a natural look, dark eye makeup is out of place, especially in hot temperatures. A little mascara is enough to define the eyelashes and open the eye optically. Especially natural: brown mascara. A lip balm or lip gloss with a slight shimmer rounds off the look.
