Samsung smartphones are extremely popular and sell by the millions. But not all cell phones run really smoothly. Unnecessary jerks and delays on the surface somewhat reduce the joy of the new smartphone, as with the new Galaxy A53. But with just one setting you can noticeably increase performance.

Anyone who buys a Samsung smartphone actually expects the device to run quickly and smoothly. With the Galaxy S22 Ultra (for testing) and now also with the Galaxy A53, it has been seen that this is not always the case – although the performance should actually be sufficient. If you don’t want to wait for a software update from Samsung that fixes performance issues, or if you own an older model that’s generally not as fast, then you can change a setting and thus increase performance.
The problem with Samsung smartphones are the animations. If the software works properly, the smartphone actually runs smoothly. From time to time, however, this is not the case and then the jerky animations make for an unattractive picture. I’m currently noticing that with the Galaxy A53. Although the performance should be there, the smartphone feels a bit weak due to the uneven animations when closing or opening apps, switching between content and so on. There is a solution for that.

Turn off animations on Samsung phones
You can simply turn off the animations. So if you own one of the Samsung smartphones where the animations don’t run smoothly, you can use it to increase the performance.
For this you have to proceed as follows:

- input help
- Improving visibility
- Remove animations
If you activate this setting, then the animations on your Samsung phone are completely disabled. You will notice that immediately. It doesn’t matter if you go back, close an app, open the camera or press the shutter button when taking a picture. The animations are gone and everything happens instantly. This noticeably increases performance but you also have to get used to it. Because the animation is missing, especially when triggering in the camera. But you’ve never experienced your cell phone so snappy.
