Makes confession – Linz tram robber has now been caught

The robber who had threatened and robbed a 25-year-old on October 31 at 2 a.m. in a tram in downtown Linz was arrested. The 18-year-old from Neuhofen / K. is confessed.

A 25-year-old from the Linz-Land district took the tram (Hauptplatz stop to Bürgerstraße stop) towards Solarcity on October 31, 2021 at around 2 a.m. He was asked by a hitherto unknown perpetrator to give him a few euros. Otherwise he would beat him up. When the 25-year-old said no, the perpetrator suddenly tore his wallet out of his hand, got off at the Bürgerstraße stop and ran off towards the main square. Witnesses present confirmed the incident. Description of the perpetrator: About 20 years old, black hair, presumably of Arab origin, wearing a gray jacket, gray trousers and black shirt, wearing a noticeably thick necklace (gold or silver). 18-year-old investigated through extensive investigations 18-year-old from the Linz-Land district investigated as the perpetrator of the robbery on October 31, 2021. An arrest order was issued by the Linz public prosecutor. These were completed on December 22, 2021. The accused confessed to having committed the robbery. He was admitted to the JA Linz.
