Revelation at the Australian jungle camp: That’s why Frankie Muniz once quickly left the set of “Malcolm in the Middle”.
Frankie Muniz’s absence was caused by the toxic behavior of two assistant directors on the set of the sitcom, as an excerpt shows. “Everyone was so afraid to speak up when certain people were controlling, rude or disrespectful. It was like they were walking on needles,” Muniz said at a campfire in South Africa, where the Australian jungle camp is being filmed.
“It was worth it to me”
Frankie Muniz felt “ashamed” to see that “people were afraid to stand up for themselves.” So he forced himself to say something and leave the set. “I didn’t care if I was told I would never return because it was worth it to me.” The former child star admitted that his status as a leading actor helped.
On “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” He previously revealed that he had taken care of things after “Malcolm in the Middle”. At the age of 19, he turned his back on show business – according to his own statement, with $40 million in his account. In addition to his series commitment, he starred in the spy comedy “Agent Cody Banks” and was considered the most successful teenager in Hollywood at the time. But he was never completely away from the screen. In recent years he has repeatedly appeared in front of the camera in guest roles in series and films.
