Terrible traffic accident this afternoon in Kaindorf: A motorcyclist may have overlooked that the car had stopped in front of him and crashed into the car. As a result, the 79-year-old was thrown into a vehicle on the opposite lane; For him any help came too late.
Today around 3:40 p.m. a driver (67) was driving on the B 54 from Kaindorf in the direction of Hartberg. Because he wanted to turn left, he stopped because of the oncoming traffic. The following driver (64, from the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district) noticed this and also stopped.
But the motorcyclist behind the two cars noticed what was happening too late. The 79-year-old crashed into the car in front of him without braking, was thrown into the oncoming lane by the force of the impact and into an oncoming car!
There was no more rescue for the man, he died at the scene of the accident. The other participants remained unharmed.
The Kaindorf fire brigade was in action with 17 men and four vehicles. The B54 was closed to all traffic in the area of the accident site, a local detour was set up.
