The missing report was received shortly after 5 p.m., as the Ticino canton police announced. The rescue workers found the man about six meters from the bank at a depth of four meters. He was in a life threatening condition.
The rescue workers brought the man ashore and were able to resuscitate him there. He later passed away. Why the man got under the surface of the water while swimming is being investigated. (SDA)
