The arrested man is “a relative of the family that the latter had been hosting for several weeks”, explains the prosecutor in a press release, without specifying further the nature of the link between the suspect and the family. The suspicions of the investigators would have focused on him because of his absence from home. The Jura gendarmerie and the research section of Besançon have been entrusted “a flagrant investigation of the counts of attempted murder and attempted aggravated murder”continues the magistrate. The suspect was found on the afternoon of Saturday February 4, after a search involving 70 gendarmes, search dogs and a helicopter. Unknown to justice, he was taken into custody.
