Manitou: Massive investment plan in the United States

Massive investment plan in the United States

Manitou Group announces an investment plan of 70 million euros ($80M) for its two North American production sites of Yankton and Madison, based in South Dakota. It will concern the extension of the two sites, the strengthening of innovation, and the development of new ranges. The group thus reaffirms its strong ambitions to achieve the objectives set out in its New Horizons 2025 strategic plan.

An activity at a historic level
With a record order book of more than 3 billion euros, Manitou Group is investing in a context of sustainable growth. This 70 million euro plan initially concerns the expansion of the Yankton (articulated loaders and telescopic handlers) and Madison (compact loaders, skid-steers and track loaders) sites, and then the modernization of equipment industrial production lines.

We benefit from excellent prospects on our markets which fully justify these investments. These arrangements will enable us to absorb peaks in activity, sustainably increase our production capacities and strengthen the safety of our employees, in particular by optimizing flow management. We therefore plan to increase our production volume on these sites by more than 150% by 2026. These projects are also part of our energy transition with the development of new electrical ranges.

Elizabeth AusimourPresident of the Products Division

As part of the overall €460 million investment envelope of the New Horizons 2025 strategic plan, these projects will begin in the second quarter of 2022 and run until 2026.
