Several weeks ago, Manuel Cortez made a Covid 19 disease public. After several weeks in the hospital, he has now been released.

On his 42nd birthday on May 24th shared actor Manuel Cortez with the fact that he was infected with the corona virus and had to spend his special day in bed sick because of it. At first everything looked like a relatively mild course of Covid 19 disease, but then he had to go to the hospital. Now Cortez could be released – and he explains how he is currently.

“I’m fine, so far. I’m still exhausted,” says Cortez in a clip on Instagram. But he is on the way up: “Running and these everyday things are exhausting. […] But then I feel a little better from day to day. “

“Corona process was very relaxed at first”

It’s been a good month now, “since Corona broke out in me, so to speak”. After a severe course of the Covid 19 disease, he was “quite satisfied” that he could, among other things, move a little and eat. At the end of May, Cortez explained in an Instagram story: “My corona course was very relaxed at first, then I got a higher and higher fever and then in the end started to breathe difficultly.”

Later explained the actorthat he “just slipped past the intensive care unit”. The 42-year-old was admitted with severe pneumonia and the lungs “collapsed in several places”. It was not clear whether he would make it: “There were two nights when it was really dangerous.” Cortez had to stay in a quarantine room “without people” – apart from the nurses – for almost three weeks. But now it’s back home.
