The afternoon talk show test balloon "Marco Schreyl" (RTL) will be discontinued after four months. Shortly after the news became known, moderator Marco Schreyl (46) reacted to it on his Instagram account: "Have a good evening !!", he wrote for a photo that shows him in the talk show backdrop.
Markus Küttner, Head of Entertainment / Daytime at RTL, had previously explained to DWDL that and why the talk show would not be continued: "With the Daily Talk 'Marco Schreyl' we tried to revive a program color that we at RTL in the The past was very successful. Although we tried a lot of topics and at the beginning of the Corona crisis, we were even able to achieve market shares above the channel cut, the overall interest of the viewers was not enough. That is why 'Marco Schreyl' will not be continued in autumn. "
The broadcaster, however, does not personally put Schreyl in the shoes of the broadcaster. On the contrary, it continues to count on him: "We would like to thank Marco Schreyl, who is a strong talk host, moderator and journalist – and who I hope has not been seen in the RTL program for the last time."
The last edition of the weekly talk show runs on June 12 at 4 p.m. on RTL.
