She celebrates “CSI” comeback

Marg Helgenberger is one of the veterans of the “CSI” series. Now she returns as Catherine Willows.
Marg Helgenberger (63) celebrates a special comeback: the US actress will return to the “CSI” universe. As reported, among other things, by “Deadline”., she will be seen in her original role of Catherine Willows in the second season “CSI: Vegas”. According to the US industry magazine, Helgenberger is said to have signed a one-year contract and be part of the main cast.
With William Petersen (68) and Jorja Fox (53), original stars from the parent series had already returned in the first season. In “CSI: Vegas” they mingled with the new generation of investigators as Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle. The two actors are absent from the second season.
After the crime series, other serial roles followed
CSI: Vegas is a sequel to the series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, which originally ended in 2015. In 2000, Helgenberger took on the lead role alongside Petersen in the parent series and remained with the cast until January 2012. She returned in her old role for a guest appearance in 2013 for the 300th episode. Most recently, she appeared on the CBS series Under the Dome and All Rise.
