They are a dream team – and not just on the red carpet. Actress Margot Robbie, 33, and film producer Tom Ackerley, 34, are still happily married after the seventh year of marriage. Almost a rarity in Hollywood, where marriages in the industry often lack a happy ending in their script. In an interview with the “Sunday Times” the topic was supposed to be their new joint gin brand, but unexpectedly the couple gave a rare insight into their relationship life – and talked about the secret of their ongoing romantic bond with each other.

Margot Robbie’s husband reveals love secret: “24 hours a day”

It is Tom in particular who waxes lyrical when asked about his wife. It becomes clear that the two cannot live without each other. They spend “24 hours a day” together, the Brit claims. “It’s seamless,” he assures when the conversation turns to combining business and pleasure. “We don’t have a switch that you can turn on and off. It’s all become one thing.”

His love for the actress from Down Under has made him “feel like an honorary Aussie, Margot feels like an honorary Brit.” The only point of conflict: “Whether Tim Tams or Penguins are better.” Wow! The patriotic preference for snacks from their respective home countries seems to be causing passionate discussions. Sweet! Otherwise, he would like to see “more sporting rivalry” between Australia and England, he jokingly remarks.

Always together, but not in front of the cameras

These are rare insights into the dynamic between the couple. In 2016, Margot and Tom said “I do” to each other in a private ceremony on Australia’s Gold Coast. It was only in the last few months, however, that the two were seen together at a few selected public events. Perhaps it is time for Tom to step out of the backstage area more often to support his loved one from a distance and not just a few steps away.
