Margot Robbie’s ‘Barbie’ pink runway show continues

Margot Robbie, 33, is once again going for pink. The actress visited Seoul, South Korea on Sunday to promote her ‘Barbie’ movie. The 33-year-old made a glamorous appearance. She presented a pink ensemble by Versace. The tank top was embellished with sparkling stones and had a sweetheart neckline. She paired it with a pink belted midi skirt. The actress also wore a pink bag, also by Versace, and matching pumps.

Another role-inspired outfit Margot Robbie wore while visiting South Korea was a pink blazer with a midi skirt. A pink scarf and white-pink hat and pumps completed this look. A pink handbag could not be missing again.

“Barbie” film caused a shortage of pink

The “Barbie” film made headlines at the beginning of June. It was said at the time that the flick had sparked a global shortage of pink-hued color. Production designer Sarah Greenwood joked, according to Architectural Digest magazine, “The world was running out of pink.”

For the company that the production ordered paint from, that’s actually no exaggeration. “They used as much paint as we had,” Lauren Proud told the Los Angeles Times. She is Vice President of Global Marketing for Rosco – a company with close proximity to Hollywood. “Barbie” wasn’t the only reason for that, though. According to Proud, there were general problems with global supply chains during filming in 2022 due to the corona pandemic. “Barbie” apparently came on top of that…

Film glows pink

“I wanted a very bright pink, and almost too much of everything,” said “Barbie” director Greta Gerwig, 39, to “Architectural Digest”. She wanted to show what she loved about the Mattel doll as a little girl.

In the first live-action adaptation of the cult toy, the iconic blonde is banned from pink Barbieland – because she’s not perfect enough. She ends up in the real world with Ken (Ryan Gosling, 42). “Barbie” starts in German cinemas on July 20, 2023.
