Actress Maria Menouos is going through a difficult time: The “Fantastic Four” actress has lost her mother.

Last year, Maria Menouos, 42, shared the sad diagnosis with her fans: Her mother Litsa was again diagnosed with an advanced brain tumor. As if that weren’t bad enough, she was also infected with the corona virus in November 2020. Now the mother of the 42-year-old has passed away.

“Rest in peace, mom”

The TV celebrity with Greek roots said goodbye to her deceased family member on Instagram. To a black-and-white photo of Mary by her mother’s bed, she wrote: “Rest in peace, Mom. God loved her so much that he took her with him on Greek Easter.” And in Greek she added: “Christ is risen, Mama.”

In the comments below the picture, the user Maria expressed their condolences. Celebrities like “The Prince of Bel-Air” star Alfonso Ribeiro also expressed their sympathy. “I’m so sorry for your loss. She fought so hard for so long. She is now our guardian angel,” wrote the actor.

Maria Menouos and her mother both had brain tumors

In 2016, Maria’s mother was diagnosed with a fourth-degree brain tumor known as glioblastoma for the first time. Two months later, the journalist and presenter was also diagnosed with a brain tumor – but it was a benign tumor called a hemangioma. In 2017, the mother and daughter were successfully operated on, but unfortunately the tumor returned in Litsa’s case.
