“GZSZ” actress Maria Wedig reports with an update from her baby break and reveals when she will return to the set of the cult series.

On June 19th, RTL broadcast the last episode of “Good Times, Bad Times” with the actress Nina Klee Maria Wedig, 39, from. The broadcaster has now announced: Wedig will be filming for “GZSZ” again from summer 2024. “I don’t know what’s next for Nina either, because the books are still being developed and written, but I’m very excited. My role will definitely come back to the ‘GZSZ’ neighborhood in Berlin! That’s for sure. Only, “What happens around her is still up in the air,” RTL quoted the actress as saying.

Maria Wedig is currently on baby break

In June of this year, RTL announced that Maria Wedig had no longer been on the set of the series since April 2023, but was on baby break. Episode 7.789 was pre-produced with her, and the character Nina says goodbye abroad. “Nina and I will of course come back to ‘GZSZ’ after a break. Coming soon!” said the “GZSZ” star. Now one thing is certain: in six months we will return to the set of the series. “I’m really looking forward to that and until then I’ll just enjoy my little baby.”

The 39-year-old’s second child was born on May 30th. Since then, Wedig has been giving insights into her life as a mother of two on Instagram. She also talks to her “GZSZ” colleague Olivia Marei (plays Toni Ahrens) in the “Muttivierend Ehrlich” podcast about being a mother and doesn’t shy away from unpleasant truths.

Series character Nina spends a year in South America

Wedig’s role Nina Klee traveled to Argentina in the series. She separated from Carlos (Patrick Fernandez, 38) after he cheated and works there for entrepreneur Petro Navarro (Alberto Ruano, 49). “Nina would never have dreamed that she would go abroad. She can now concentrate completely on herself,” said Wedig in the press release. “I’m so excited to see how she develops when she comes back.”
