While Mariah Carey celebrates a new triumph with her Christmas hit, her children appear totally annoyed in a funny clip.

Mariah Carey (54) has long been considered the “Queen of Christmas” thanks to her hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You”. The song storms the charts every year at Christmas time – including this year. On Christmas Eve there was another very special gift for the singer. She got the most Spotify streams in a single day – breaking her own record.

Mariah Carey continues to outdo herself

“All I Want For Christmas Is You” was streamed 23,701,697 times, as “TMZ” reported. Last year, the song had been streamed 21,273,357 times as of December 24th. This is nothing new for Carey: in previous years she had repeatedly surpassed her own records.

This year, however, the Christmas victory wasn’t that easy: Carey fought a fight with “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” legend Brenda Lee (79). For the first time since Carey’s “Christmas reign” began, her competitor was able to hold the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts for a week. Apparently no problem for Carey: she sent Lee warm greetings and a bouquet of flowers for the occasion. But on Christmas Eve, Mariah Carey was ahead again on Spotify.

And also with an entertaining video clip her Instagram page the singer thrilled her many fans at Christmas. She appeared with her twins in front of the Christmas tree. While she wore her iconic red Christmas suit and sang her most famous song, Monroe and Moroccan (12) were anything but enthusiastic. First they asked if they had to be there “every time” Carey sang the song, then they ran away annoyed. “Had to do it,” Carey joked in the post description.

The Christmas song “All I Want For Christmas Is You” was originally released on Carey’s album “Merry Christmas” in November 1994 and peaked in December 2017 reached the top 10 of the Hot 100 for the first time in the Billboard charts. Since then, it has regularly taken the top spot at Christmas time. The song also plays a role in the 2003 Christmas film “Love Actually” and helped Mariah Carey achieve immense success.
