This Wednesday, September 14, 2022, France 2 is broadcasting new episodes of the series Mariannein which Marilou Berry holds one of the leading roles. The actress thus plays the role of Marianne Vauban, an investigating judge with surprising methods. Always accompanied by Captain Pastor and his clerk Yves, she will not hesitate to call on mediums to solve her investigations. During an interview for TV StarMarilou Berry has unveiled a rather surprising little detail.
To best embody his character, she added an accessory to make herself ugly : “When I read Marianne’s script, I immediately saw this figure of a ‘girl’ with haphazard hair and clothes that don’t care about fashion. Then I asked to have false teeth and there , I heard myself answer ‘Are you really sure?'”. Marilou Berry is convinced that this accessory will be perfect for her role : “I don’t like prettiness, it doesn’t really interest me. There’s beauty in a lot of other things that aren’t necessarily ‘pretty'”she says.
Marilou Berry plays her first role in a series
For Marilou Berry, playing in Marianne signs his first role in a series. A pleasure for the actress: “I’ve never seen it that way because I feel like I’m always playing leading roles. I realize that might sound strange, but I always approach my character as if it were the main character. All the characters are leading roles, they are just as important as each other. The difference is that there is more work on Marianne in the sense that it’s 60 days of shooting, which I don’t I’ve never done before. Otherwise, in the creative process, it doesn’t change much.”
